Her Atelier located just steps away from the boutique is convenient to the demands of her private clientele, and is well supported by her talented design team.
Mason's designs are said to cull their inspiration from her vast archives of incredible vintage couture which heralds back to the early turn of the century with a keen eye on the sleek tailored looks of the late 1930s through the refined silhouettes of the early 1950s. She is known to favor the vintage works of such accomplished American couturiers as Ceil Chapman, Helen Rose, Adrian, Howard Greer, Irene, and James Galanos, paying close attention to the images of the early Silver Screen Sirens.
Her collections have been described by many celebrity stylist who select her designs for their important clients as 'Go-To-Looks', that are beautifully crafted and constructed, as well as sexy, glamorous and uber feminine.
Since 2006, Elizabeth Mason has been designing her own collections under the label Elizabeth Mason Couture, supported by her talented team of sample and pattern makers in her Atelier.
Elizabeth's designs are inspired by the beautiful vintage couture she has ‘had the privilege' to collect and represent in her boutique, The Paper Bag Princess. Her looks herald back to the great designers of the late 1930s through the early 1950s, with very special attention to the Hollywood Silver Screen era designers such as Adrian, Irene, Ceil Chapman, Helen Rose, Howard Greer, Travilla, and Don Loper, as well as classics such as Chanel, Desses, Dior and Balenciaga.
Her designs have been described as glamorous and sexy Red Carpet attire with a contemporary edge, yet still reflecting the incredible craftsmanship of an era lost to manufacturing techniques of today's trend and season-driven fashion houses.
